Medical & Recovery Costs

Asking for Help
As I wrote on my blog, this is the first time I've really reached out to my community of friends, colleagues and acquaintances to assist in our time of need. I had no way of knowing while pregnant or even soon thereafter that I would still be in pain and needing continued treatments four years later.

Meanwhile, our medical and related costs - including unplanned childcare expenses - have exceeded $150,000. We are at risk of having to sell our house because we have depleted nearly most of our savings. As a result, I am doing everything I can to come up with ways to cut costs, help soften our expenses and find more work.

While I continue working on that, I felt I owed it to my friends to let them know what's going on and to ask for contributions to the most expensive things, starting with physical therapy, which is $1500/month, for the next two months until which tiem we will have made it through the holidays and will likely have to sell our home. So if you want to help me and my family out, this is the most immediate way of doing so.

Thank you for visiting this page and for considering helping us during this difficult time.
